Moovin’ Milk is a new milk brand that delivers milk straight from the farm to local areas via Scotland’s first mobile milk vending machine. The farm, based in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire is run by Andrew and Calum Telfer who are 5th generation dairy farmers and had an idea to start selling their own fresh farm milk. The milk is made on the farm and delivered fresh every morning by their trailers to locations in and around Renfrewshire and Inverclyde. Once there anyone will be able to fill up their milk bottle (or purchase one on location), pay via the contactless payment system and then leave with their fresh milk.
When they commissioned me to create a new brand for them, we had a chat about naming and what was the main selling point - fresh farm milk, delivered daily to your local area. The name (Moovin’ Milk) was an obvious choice as we were taking the milk to the locations. We wanted to avoid plastic containers, getting back to the ‘way things used to be’ milk deliveries from your local farm. So we used glass bottles and printed directly on to them in black, with the white milk creating the contrast that we were looking for to have a link back to their black and white cows.
I made a clean, stylised hand font to create that homemade friendly approach. The identity needed to have a fluid/organic look that was fun and friendly. Having quotes that promoted a plastic-free alternative with the reusable glass bottles.
I commissioned a photoshoot so that we had a collection of images to use for social media promotions and for the website, plus any future promotions in advertising.
I branded the milk machines and the trailers that transport the machines around their locations. To complete the project, I created social media graphics to launch the campaign and designed and built a responsive website to promote, show the delivery schedule and update with their latest news.
This was an exciting project to work on, and we already have further plans to expand this brand and launch other products.
